Traffik-free Easter chocolate recipe!

Happy Easter to you from all of us at No More Traffik! Whatever your plans are, we hope you have a lot of fun (and rest)! Here’s a traffik-free recipe for you to enjoy this weekend!

4 eggs (buy local free-range)

200g dark chocolate (look for UTZ, Rainforest Alliance or Fairtrade. Green & Black’s or Tesco’s range is GREAT!)

160g sugar (buy traffik-free: Trade Aid or Fairtrade is good)

140g ground almonds

160g butter (go local! Dromona is good.)

Melt the butter and chocolate together (in a microwave or using the Bain-Marie method) and then add all the other ingredients, keeping the eggs for last so they don’t start to cook in your warm mixture.

Pop the mixture into a large round cake tin, or a muffin tray.If you’re making a cake, leave it in the oven at 180 celcius for 20 minutes; and if you’re going for the mini version, stick to 10 minutes.

You’ll know they’re ready Take them out when the top is hard, but there’s a little shake when you press down. You can serve yours with berries, or with icing sugar sprinkled over them…or just have them on their own!

Enjoy! We’d love to know how you get on! Tag us at #NoMoreTraffik with your pictures!
